The Owner

Sujay Fonseka

B.Com (Accounting), M.Div (Advisory) — Owner

Sujay started in accounting and finance in April 2007. In January 2016 she earned CRA authorization for tax and payroll, completed her Payroll Accounting Certification, and opened CanMore Financial Services — now CanMore Accounting — at 1585 Markham Road in Scarborough.

Most clients stay with CanMore for years. Sujay handles their bookkeeping month-over-month, files their T2 corporate returns, runs their payroll, and takes the CRA letters when they come in. The office does not try to be the biggest firm in the GTA — it tries to be the one where the owner still answers the phone.

The rest of the team are qualified accountants (B.Com, CA) who work on bookkeeping, payroll filing, and tax preparation alongside Sujay.

How We Work

CRA authorization, not just tax software

CanMore is a CRA-authorized tax and payroll service provider. That means direct representative access to your CRA accounts — we can file, check balances, handle reassessment letters, and respond to audit requests without waiting on the owner to forward every notice.

The software you already use

We work in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage 50 — whichever one your business is already running. New clients without a system usually land on QuickBooks Online because it's the easiest for us to share with you month-to-month. We handle the setup, the chart of accounts, the sales tax codes, and the bank feeds so you are not Googling it on a Sunday.

One engagement, one price

Bookkeeping, payroll, and year-end are priced up front based on transaction volume, employee count, and filing complexity. No hourly surprises. If a CRA letter lands on your desk mid-year, dealing with it is part of the retainer, not an extra invoice.

Where we serve

Most of our clients are based in Scarborough — Agincourt, Malvern, Rouge, Guildwood, Cliffside, Birch Cliff, and West Hill. We also serve East Toronto, North York, Markham, Pickering, and Ajax.

In-person bookkeeping and payroll drop-offs happen at the Markham Road office. Remote clients across the GTA share files via QuickBooks Online, email, or secure portal.
